Irumudi Pooja 

To ensure proper planning for your Irumudi preparation, we kindly ask that you align your Vratham start date with the Irumudi dates provided.

Please note that the Irumudi on December 21, 2024, is limited to 25 participants, including Pilla Kettu (children's Irumudi). 

Additionally, the Irumudi scheduled for December 24, 2024, includes an overnight stay at the temple. The Irumudi cost covers all necessary items, Gurudakshina for each irumudi, and a collective Dakshina to the priest. Each participating family is requested to contribute a minimum of $25 for Annadhanam, which provides food for devotees during various Mandala Pooja events.

Please note that the Temple Services Fee of $31 per person or $51 per Family is seperate, which includes the Ghee Abhishekam after Padi Yetram, is separate from the Irumudi cost. This fee can be paid online using the following link:

Pooja Day Schedule

For all One day Irumudi Poojas, the typical schedule is as follows:​

5:00 AM – 6:00 AM: Pooja Setup / Irumudi Check-in

6:00 AM – 6:15 AM: Coffee

6:15 AM – 6:45 AM: Sankalpam, Ganapathy, Murugan & Ayyappa Ashtotharams

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Kettu Nera

8:30 AM – 9:15 AM: Yatra & Padi Yetram

9:15 AM – 10:00 AM: Kettu Opening

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Nei Abhishekam, Bhajan & Ashtoram, Pooja area cleaning

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Padi Irakam

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch 

Swamis participating in Irumudi must arrive at the Saraswathi Hall (above the Cafeteria) by 5:00 AM on the day of the event unless specified otherwise.

Irumudi Registration FAQs

Please use this form only for Adult and Pilla Kattu Irumudi registrations—each adult requires a separate entry. For assistance with more than 2 Pilla Katti, please contact us for further support.

 

First Name & Last Name: Enter your full name.
Email: Provide a valid email for updates and confirmation.
Phone: Include your phone number with the area code for contact purposes.
Age: Enter your age as of the Irumudi date. Enter the child’s age as of the Irumudi date. Girl children must be under 10 years old and should not have passed their 10th birthday by the Irumudi date.
Irumudi Date: Select your irumudi date based on the Vratham Start Date

Vratham Requirement: Ensure you have completed **at least 41 days of Vratham** (fasting and spiritual discipline) before your selected Irumudi date. This is mandatory.

Kanni Swami?: Indicate if this is your first Irumudi or pilgrimage by selecting "Yes" or "No".
Number of Earlier Irumudis: Specify how many times you've participated in Irumudi, including at other temples or shrines like Sabarimala or Houston.

Comments: Add any special requests or additional information that may assist in planning your participation. 

Irumudi Charges:
Adult Irumudi Charge: $65 (includes Irumudi items, Gurudakshina, priest Dakshina, and any facility charges).

Pilla Kattu(1) Irumudi Charges: $15 (includes Irumudi items, Gurudakshina, priest Dakshina etc).
Annadhanam: $25 minimum donation per family.
Tulasi Mala: $5.
Irumudi Bag: $15.(Only for adult bags; a Pilla Kattu bag will be provided if unavailable.)
Dhoti Set: $15.

Register: Once completed, click the Register button. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.

Payment: All Payments will be collected at the Irumudi Pooja.
